Zusammenfassung: | Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a modulation technique which divides a high rate data stream into low rate streams and transmitted simultaneously over a number of orthogonal subcarriers. OFDM becomes a popular choice in wireless applications due to its resilience against fading and high spectral efficiency. One of its main drawbacks is the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted signals which can significantly reduce the efficiency of the high power amplifier (HPA). Pulse shaping is a technique which can be used to reduce the PAPR. This paper investigates the effect of different subcarriers shaping waveforms on the reduction of the PAPR of the transmitted OFDM signals. |
