Zusammenfassung: | A 1 MW high power density (800 W/in/sup 3/) liquid-cooled inverter has been developed and manufactured by Kaman Electromagnetic Corporation to drive an axial gap permanent magnet motor. The high density is achieved by a new packaging approach which utilizes two newly developed low-inductance components: a high-ripple-current capacitor; and an IGBT/capacitor interconnection busbar. Due to the extremely low parasitic inductance, snubbers are not required. |
