Zusammenfassung: | Here, a vertical two-dimensional lagrangian model named Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) is developed to simulate hydrodynamic behavior of water waves in open channels. Especially free surface of waves propagating in channels and their impact to walls are investigated. In order to apply the model to viscous flows, it is necessary to consider the effects of turbulence. Turbulence is modeled by constant eddy viscosity. In this meshless model, the projection method has been deployed in which discretization of Navier-Stokes equations are completed in two half steps to speed up the convergence of the model. To validate the developed model, it is applied in some cases including propagation of a solitary wave in a straight channel and tsunami run up on a slope. Evaluation of model results show enhancement of the present MPS model accuracy and ability in comparison with usual inviscid numerical models or empirical data cited in the literature. In addition pressure field is calculated by this MPS model and acceptable results are obtained. |
