Zusammenfassung: | This paper proposes a piecewise constant time discontinuous Galerkin method to solve the initial-boundary value problem for the heat equation. The finite element is formulated in terms of continuous approximation functions in space directions and piecewise constant approximation functions in time direction. The error analysis for this method in L, norm is established, and some numerical examples are included to validate the theoretical analysis. |
