Zusammenfassung:The model of 3D point-radiate 8-node infinite element and a new kind of radiate damping matrix applicable to 3D curved boundary are developed for the dynamic analyses of plates on half space foundation. The radiate pole of the infinite element is at the origin of the global coordinate system and the artificial boundary is a sphere. The mesh of infinite element is performed only on the artificial boundary and a general solution is not needed. By coupling finite/infinite elements and applying the presented radiate damping matrix, the elastic recovery capacity and radiation damping effect of the half space are simulated. The 3D analyses of dynamic problems of plates on the half space are carried out. Compared to FEM, the present approach needs less nodes and elements, and shows good accuracy and efficiency.
