Zusammenfassung:A review is given on the recent development of cost-effective SAR systems for small aircrafts in Ukraine. The costs have been substantially reduced due to the introduction of original software solutions. These solutions have enabled to simplify radically the navigation system and to produce geometrically correct SAR images. A technique for 3D imaging with a single-antenna, squint-mode SAR has also been proposed. The efficiency of the solutions has been confirmed with Ku- and X-band SAR systems.
