Zusammenfassung:Computer modelling of optical characteristics of a new electro-optical modulator based on Fabry-Perot microresonator is performed. The microresonator consists of LiNbO 3 plate sandwiched between multilayer mirrors of SiO 2 /Si. Metallization of lateral facets of LiNbO 3 plate permits to control an intensity of light propagating through the microresonator by applying an incoming microwave signal. Optical characteristics of the suggested electro-optical modulator based on Fabry-Perot microresonator are identical to that of the microdisk microresonator currently used in microwave-photonic receivers. Due to the comparative simplicity of Fabry-Perot structure the suggested modulator is a prospective candidate to replace the microdisk microresonator in microwave-photonic receivers.
