Less-flammable liquids used in transformers

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. have investigated less-flammable liquids for use as power transformer insulation. The method of evaluation, the limitations of use and the relationship to the requirements of the National Electrical Code/sup (R/) of such liquids are described in this paper.
