Zusammenfassung: | Healthy living style generates the demand for high quality of food. However, traceability system across the supply chain is still facing many challenges from technical perspectives. This paper aims to study the feasibility of traceability system at the government animal checkpoint and how UHF-radio frequency identification (RFID) technology can be deployed for enabling such system. UHF-RFID technical approach faces many implications on dynamic conditions at animal checkpoint along the road. This paper provides practitioners with insight on how RFID technology can meet traceability requirements. RFID enables the automatic system; hence, it is possible to offer services such as automatic data acquisition and verification service through RFID and arrival time estimation service. These services are provided based on RFID system, data acquisition program called e-Note, and animal checkpoint center (ACC) website. To generate traceability information, users identify the key parameters such as the number of movement permit on the ACC website and look up information on animals, movement routes, origin and destination, etc. Such RFID integrated system ensures that the traceability information can be easily accessed and is more up to date with the current situation. |
