Zusammenfassung:Using infrared absorption spectra and the theory of phonons, the matrix element of interaction Hamiltonian taken between the initial state and the final state of the chain system has been established and the quantum selection rules for infrared absorption are discussed from the point group theory. In constant frequency intensity calculation, our result, for polyisobutene frequency shifting, is in agreement with experimental measurement.
