Zusammenfassung:Broadband network powering is somewhat different from powering traditional telephone systems. One major difference stems from the distributed nature of broadband network powering that results in bus-type networks used to energize constant-power loads. As traditional methods of powering telecommunication networks are replaced by more distributed approaches such as broadband, maintaining the present high levels of reliability and availability while minimizing cost requires that thorough network analysis prior to deployment must be an integral part of the design process. We present here an analysis methodology for broadband power network design and illustrate it using examples. We also demonstrate how such analyses can be very useful, especially in early planning and architecture determination stages, by providing comparisons between powering voltages with different waveforms.
