Fabrication and performances analysis of ball lenses

In this paper, we fabricate ball lenses using the sagging method which diameters are from 0.3mm to 3.0mm. The basic performances such as the spectral transmittance, the effective focal length, the back focal length, the numerical aperture are analyzed in theory and experiment.
