Tilted waveguide and PBC lasers: Novel cavity designs for narrow far-fields and high brightness

Single mode circular far field PBC lasers show a divergence of 5-6°, M 2 =1.4, 100 ps pulses with 10 W and a brightness of 4×10 8 Wsr -1 cm -2 . TWL lasers show vertical beam divergence of 0.8° and cw power of 4 W.
