Zusammenfassung:Conventional routing schemes that aim to provide better routing performance in order to offer better Quality of Service (QoS) may not be effective especially for time sensitive data delivery across the wireless section of the network. Wireless transmission has unique characteristics that need to be addressed and taken into account when come to path selection. Using the right routing metric for performance measure can further enhance the QoS of the link and improve the overall transmission path performance by reducing the chances for distortion and transmission error caused by the wireless channel itself. Owing to the understanding of this requirement for wireless transmission, the link signal strength can be included as one of the many important parameters for decision making of the best path selection. Hence, in this paper we proposed a path selection scheme that is based on the link signal strength of path for path selection in ad hoc network environment. Our simulation results also show that the performance of the proposed scheme is promising and has the potential to be adopted for other routing schemes.
