Combining power- and spectral-efficient modulations

This paper introduces a combination of power- and spectrum-efficient modulations, phase-silence-shift-keying (PSSK). Theoretical and numerical analysis show that PSSK achieves 2.5 to 3 dB gain compared with conventional spectrum-efficient modulation phase-shift-keying (PSK.)
