Zusammenfassung:We have demonstrated an independently tunable, vertically stacked, two-color organic light emitting device. The SOLED can be continuously color-tuned from blue to red with independent control of the intensity of each element using separate, external current sources. The technique may be extended to three devices to make an emissive R-G-B pixel for full color flat-panel display applications. The SOLED architecture is, to our knowledge, the only demonstrated technique for fabricating tunable multi-color pixels using OLED technology, and offers the advantages of minimum pixel size, maximum fill factor and a simple and cheap fabrication process.
