Spurious Self-Correlation in the Parameterization of Sea Surface Roughness

Relationships between sea surface roughness and wind-wave parameters (wave age and wave steepness) are analyzed, which means that sea surface roughness is indeed affected by wind-wave state, however, the appropriate relationship between dimensionless sea surface roughness and wave parameter is still not found. Analysis shows that the spurious self-correlation is found in all of the parameterization schemes.
