Zusammenfassung:We investigated glass cleaning and its effects on the adhesion of molybdneum (Mo) in this study. The soda-lime glass (SLG) used to fabricate the CIGS device was subjected to different cleaning methods. The cleaning solution's pH, temperature of the ultasonication bath, the solution, and method of cleaning all showed significant influences on the cleanliness of the glass. The Mo films sputter-coated on differently cleaned glass substrates were subjected to testing in damp heat at 85°C and 85% relative humidity. The results, although not conclusive, show preliminary data supporting the hypothesis that the interfacial chemistry between the Mo and SLG glass due to the differences in cleaning methods significantly affects the Mo cracking and peeling mechanism.
