Zusammenfassung:Detection of eyes in images is an important part of human face segmentation. If the position of eyes is correctly determined, it is possible to establish the position of other face features, like mouth and nose. This paper proposes a two step solution. The first step applies Bayesian classifiers and connected components labeling for determining the face position. In detection process all of the components of the selected color space are used. The second step includes a method that applies a corner detector and histograms of vertical and horizontal projections of detected corners. The eye position is detected by using several iterations of the second step. The tested method shows good results in images like those used for personal identification.
