Zusammenfassung:In this paper, printed antennas over magnetodielectric materials are investigated in terms of surface wave losses. For this purpose, the spectral domain approach, commonly used to treat dielectric structures, will be extended to general case of printed antennas over magneto-dielectric materials. Moreover, most of electromagnetic simulation softwares could not bring answer to a simple question as, what is the amount of the input power that goes into surface waves for a lossless substrate? The spectral domain approach will allow quantifying losses due to surface waves and radiated waves separately.
