Zusammenfassung:	This paper deals with an experimental work aiming to estimate the electrical characteristics of vegetation in the Amazon forest. Measurements were carried out in the HF band. The electrical parameters of the jungle were deduced by matching the experimental data to the values derived from a mathematical model based on the propagation of a lateral wave along the boundary between the forest and the troposphere.
