Development of a quantum cascade laser-based sensor for non-invasive CO2 monitoring

A novel device is proposed for the non-invasive measurement of CO 2 utilizing reflectance of the skin surface by a mid-infrared quantum cascade laser. We demonstrate CO 2 detection in a polymer at levels of biological importance.
