Optical carrier suppression and balanced coherent heterodyne detection for improved performance in wideband microwave photonic links
We demonstrate a wide-band microwave photonic link with high gain and dynamic range, low noise figure, and dispersion-free propagation using double sideband suppressed carrier modulation, optical amplification and balanced coherent heterodyne detection.
