Zusammenfassung: | Fuel economy, international competition, and socioeconomic factors have forced manufacturers to design smaller and lighter automotive vehicles. Such vehicles are typically more susceptible to noise and vibrations, which increase as they age. For reasons of health, there has been a major increase of effort in the design of noise and vibration characteristics of vehicles that would better appeal to the occupants. This article presents some results from our past 12 years of research and development in the area of active/adaptive noise and vibration control in transportation systems, with specific results from activities related to automotive vehicles. |
