Zusammenfassung:In mobile IPTV service, energy consumption of devices is an important parameter that affects quality of experience (QoE) such as continuity of the service. However, existing research to provide network-aware rate control does not guarantee the QoE. This paper proposes a new streaming system that improves energy efficiency by reducing the transmission of unnecessary bitstreams. It utilizes the variance of PSNR and distortion characteristics of content on the basis of a network-aware streaming system using SVC.
