Zusammenfassung:This paper presents the steps involved in optimizing the design of an electromagnetic kinetic energy harvester (KEH). The KEH device is conceptually a highly non-linear device. There are numerous dependent variables involved in the design of a KEH which are reliant upon the specific environmental conditions in which the KEH will be deployed. Furthermore, the non-linear nature of the device leads to an iterative design process. The environment that the KEH is deployed into also dictates the overall design and power per volume achieved by the device.
