Zusammenfassung:Aerated filter packed with natural zeolite was applied to treat low polluted surface water in a pilot experiment. The removal of NH3-N, permanganate index and turbidity were analyzed, and the performance under different HRT was introduced based on the index derived from ¿ theory and fuzzy mathematics method. Experimental results indicate that HRT had different effect on the removal of NH3-N, turbidity and permanganate index as the removal efficiencies would decrease 40%, 31% and 15% respectively with HRT from 1.5 h to 0.5 h. Performance index value would be the smallest under HRT 1.5 h, while effluent NH3-N concentration could be 1.7 mg/L. Taking into account both HRT and water quality, the index values under HRT 0.5 h and 0.8 h were almost small, but the effluent was undesirable.
