Zusammenfassung: | The Less Invasive Stabilization System-Distal Femur (LISS-DF) and Locked Compression Plate-Distal Femur (LCP-DF) systems are internal fixators which avoid the problems related to the bone-implant interfaces. The purpose of this study is to present the biomechanics of the internal fixators as well as to evaluate the results in treating the complex distal femoral fractures using these systems. The clinical study included 15 fractures (3 type A2, 5 type A3, 4 type C2 and 3 type C3/AO). All fractures healed within a mean time of 12,4 weeks (with no infections, implant breakage or secondary displacement). These plates with angular stability represent the unique answer in difficult fractures with short distal fragment, osteoporotic fractures, fractures above knee arthroplasties and some open fractures. |
