Zusammenfassung:A US responsibility in delivering the Central Solenoid magnet system to the ITER International Organization is to pass an acceptance test for each module at operating temperature. However, facilities for cold-testing magnets are not currently included in the ITER project baseline, and ITER Domestic Agencies have been requested to study the feasibility, cost, and schedule for providing them. This paper describes a study for a Central Solenoid Cold Test Facility undertaken by the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at Florida State University and the United States ITER Project Office at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
