Zusammenfassung: | A three-dimensional heat transfer model was developed to simulate the temperature distribution of the cooling copper mould used in the thin slab continuous casting process. Temperature field of the copper plate of the funneled mould was calculated by finite element method (FEM). It was confirmed that the simulation results are in agree with the experiments and actual online production. Influences of running parameters, such as pulling speed, thickness of copper plate and velocity of cooling water, on temperature filed of the copper mould are investigated respectively. Pulling speed and velocity of cooling water have only a small effect on temperature of the copper mould, but thickness of copper plate influences the temperature field of the copper plate largely. |
