Zusammenfassung: | For high-speed serial links, the most important performance measurement is the bit error rate (BER). Many papers have proposed methods to calculate or estimate the BER under the conditions of systems with Jitter and ISI. One of these, StatEye method is very popular, using colored BER contours in StatEye, the BER can be estimated. The packet loss due to crosstalk always happens in communication products. Crosstalk effects should be well considered. In fact, crosstalk processing method is becoming a critical technique in high speed serial link analysis. Since additive noise is always presented in practical systems, in order to estimate the BER more accurate, we need to consider not only ISI, jitters, but also additive noise and crosstalk. In this paper, to speed up the BER simulation a Quasi-Analytical (QA) Method is used and extended to the more general application cases. An unbiased QA estimator will be constructed to estimate the system BER very effectively. |
