Zusammenfassung: | The performance impact of information technology (IT) investment is an important research topic that needs to take into consideration the role of key contextual factors. This study discussed and empirically tested the moderating effects of environmental dynamism and branch strategy on the impact of IT investment and other effective variables (number of employee and fixed asset) on branches performance. The study sample consisted of 102 branches of Parsian Bank and the empirical results, based on a moderated regression modeling approach. Specifically, IT investment appears to have a stronger positive impact on bank performance when there are greater environmental changes and more proactive branch strategy. According to our findings, banks considering IT investment should assess their environmental contexts and strategic directions. |
