Zusammenfassung: | Hierarchical autonomous reuse partioning (HARP) is a dynamic channel allocation method which takes into account the specific situation of a hierarchical cellular environment. It offers the possibility of controlling the capacity between the layers. The nature of this algorithm is fully decentralised (decentralised down to base stations), but it is able to estimate the current load and the free capacity of the different layers. It is based on a simple first-fit algorithm, using slightly different algorithms for the different layers. Simulation results show that in spite of the simplicity of the algorithm, very good control of capacity is rendered possible, which allows the network-operator a more specific regulation of the grade of service. |
