Zusammenfassung:Magnetic saturation phenomenon in low-voltage and high-current DC-DC converter with fast dynamic response is described. Core saturation presented here is observed in onboard isolated DC-DC converter due to inherent asymmetrical driving of conventional PWM IC in transient condition. The saturation is not eliminated by using capacitor for AC coupling of transformer. Mechanism of the saturation is analyzed and confirmed by experiments.
