Zusammenfassung: | This paper proposes a cross-layer based power-aware multipath routing protocol (CPMRP) for wireless mobile ad hoc networks. The nodes' mobility behavior is predicted using a notion of "signal fading degree, SFD". On the other hand, loop-freedom guarantee is provided by "signal identifier, SI". Especially, in combination of the IEEE802.11e standard at the MAC layer, we determine that the IEEE802.11e makes a significant contribution to performance improvement of CPMRP. The purpose of this work is to ensure both network performance improvement and power efficiency. Our simulation results show that CPMRP decreases the average end-to-end delay, routing overhead, packet loss significantly, as well as reduces power consumption to some extent. The improvement in end-to-end delay is more pronounced. |
