Zusammenfassung:The scattering and absorbing of electromagnetic radiation by very thin metal wires was investigated. The NiCr and Pt wire (diameter 15 mum) was placed in rectangular waveguide with wave H 10 . The extinction and reflection from wire was measured, and the efficiency factors of scattering and absorbing was calculated. The measuring was doing in frequency range 3...18 GHz (the wave-length in waveguide was 2...28 cm). The cross-sections of scattering and absorbing were increased with increasing of wave-length and were reached of values, which were in several hundreds more than diameter of wires.
