Zusammenfassung:In this contribution, we propose a novel code-aided channel tracking and carrier frequency offset (CFO) and/or phase noise (PN) estimation algorithm for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Starting from the maximum-likelihood (ML) principle, we derive a low complexity estimator based on the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm. It turns out that the estimator receives soft information from the channel decoder to refine the CFO, PN, and channel estimates. Simulation results revealed that the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional techniques in terms of bit-error rate (BER).
