Zusammenfassung: | New Zealand's energy market is an interplay between various forms of non-renewable fossil fuels and renewable energies. Market share patterns before and after deregulation are observed to ascertain any changes in behaviour over this period of political and economic development of society. Forecasts were made for each form of energy, and showed primary energy supply for other renewable energies to surpass hydroelectricity and geothermal by 2020. World energy data were also collected to show how New Zealand's energy market is related to the more global situation. The forecasts show hydroelectricity and nuclear energy only increases in a small share by 2020. |
