Bandwidth-Efficient Protection Strategies for Multi-Protected Multi-Service Backbone Networks

For backbone IP-over-WDM transport networks, we propose a node-disjoint path protection framework for multi-failure scenarios based on protection tiers plus strategies for backup capacity sharing either employable separately or combinable for significant protection capacity reduction.
