Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, channel modeling for the satellite path(s) in a geosynchronous earth orbit (GEO) land mobile satellite network is studied. A multiple state Markov channel model is proposed to fully unveil the channel dynamics for the purpose of facilitating dynamic link adaptation. An analytical method is proposed to calculate the parameters of the channel model in terms of a mobile user's elevation angle, terrestrial mobility, azimuth separation in case of two satellites, as well as shadowing and fading dynamics. Simulations are presented to validate the scalability and feasibility of this model. |
