Zusammenfassung:We have presented work on the fabrication of polymer-ceramic composites for RF antenna and circuit applications. The mixtures produced from spherical commercial ceramic powders compared reasonably well with theoretical models. However theoretical models indicate that particles with controlled aspected shapes could provide highly enhanced effective properties. A promising route to the production of particles with these controlled aspected shapes is through the chemical conversion of bioclastic diatom frustules into ceramics with proven RF material properties of interest.
