Experimental Demonstration of Network Congestion Control with a Programmable Optical Packet Injection Buffer

We experimentally demonstrate active queue management for network congestion control using a programmable optical packet buffer architecture. Optical packets with 10 Gb/s payload are processed transparently and propagate error-free with bit-error rate of < 10 -12 .
