Zusammenfassung: | A time-domain version of the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (TD-UTD) is introduced to describe, in closed form, the UWB transient electromagnetic diffracted by a perfectly conducting wedge. This TD-UTD impulse response is obtained by a Fourier inversion of the corresponding frequency domain UTD solution. The UWB pulsed diffracted excitation of the wedge may be found via its convolution with the closed form time domain dyadic diffraction coefficient. Some numerical examples, which illustrate the utility of these developments and give more intrinsically interpretations for the mechanics as well as characteristics of UWB pulse diffraction, are presented. |
