Zusammenfassung:In this paper, congestion control for communication networks is investigated. The feedback plus feedforward congestion control is based on a deterministic model of the considered network dynamics and guarantees the stability of the closed loop. The sending rate of the controlled source is adjusted to regulate the buffer length to a desired value in order to avoid under-and over-flow. The performance of the congestion control, which is implemented over the UDP layer, is validated with ns-2 for different simulation scenarios. The simplest simulation consists in regulating the buffer length of a single bottleneck with one source and one destination. We then pursue the matter by considering the multi-source case. We particular highlight the validity of the congestion control scheme in presence of competing traffic sources sharing the same congested link with different transport protocols and non-constant numbers of sending sources.
