Zusammenfassung:This paper describes the ongoing implementation of the SimX system for multi-experiment computational studies within the SCIRun problem solving environment. The modular, component-based nature of SCIRun enables a natural integration of the SimX runtime modules with the simulation codes that constitute the experiments underlying the study, and provides a rich steering and visualization environment for study interactions. Experience with a computational study involving a SCIRun defibrillator device simulation code (DefibSim) highlights these advantages, and identifies several avenues for future work.
