Zusammenfassung:A novel cost-effective technique is proposed to enhance the optical modulation depth of the fiber downlink and simultaneously recover the downlink optical carrier in an antenna base station in a millimeter-wave fiber-wireless system. With the proposed structure, the downlink optical modulation depth is enhanced with the help of a low-cost 2times2 all-fiber optical interleaver so that the optical receiver sensitivity is improved, and the recovered optical carrier can be reused for fiber uplink transmission to simplify the upstream optical interface. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by experiment
