Zusammenfassung: | In the IEEE 802.11 ad-hoc network, all nodes use the common channel to transmit control frames and data frames. To avoid collision of data frames and improve transmitting performance, carrier sense multi-access with collision avoidance is employed. However, collision of control frames, namely RTS, still happens. Moreover, with the number of the nodes increasing, RTS collisions will be the key factor which affects the throughout and the delay of the system. In this paper, we proposed a performance model for the ad-hoc network, using which the effects of backoff and collision risk to system's whole performance are analyzed. Boundary condition for selection of contention window size is got |
