Zusammenfassung:The lack of sensitivity of chest radiographs to cancer nodules of the lung is in part due to lung parenchyma and bone obscuring nodule features. A stereo image processing technique, the cut-plane procedure, is designed to eliminate voxels in planes perpendicular to the line of sight. However, this procedure does not perform adequately when applied to medical images. The authors present some modifications which improve the performance of this procedure; examples are shown.< >
