Zusammenfassung:The authors describe the development of a series of interactive, animated instructional programs for DEC stations at North Carolina University. The goal of the project is to develop three instructional units and test them in a controlled experiment in an undergraduate engineering course versus traditional instruction. The project team selected the cT program as the computing package to program the units. The three instructional units were developed for an undergraduate course in traffic engineering. Each unit deals with a different type of problem. The design unit concentrates on vertical highway alignment design and is very open-ended. The analysis unit guides the student through trip generation and is relatively closed-ended. The background unit presents the basic principles of surveying and should serve as a review of prerequisite material for most students.< >
