Extremely low coupling and propagation losses with modified silica on silicon waveguides

We report low, 0.1-0.25 dB, fiber to fiber insertion loss measured with modified p-glass waveguides and optimized fiber coupling. 0.88 dB/Meter propagation loss of the modified waveguides were measured using a ring resonator.< >
